Mission: Forrester Construction Company delivers high value-added construction services and solutions that earn client and industry accolades.
The Challenge and Solution
For Forrester Construction, delivering network connectivity and phone services to jobs sites was a challenge. Forrester projects are often at remote locations with limited connectivity. Construction projects had separate network and telephone equipment for each job.
This approach did not meet Forrester’s business needs. Failure to delivery circuits in a timely manner impacted our ability to start projects. Purchasing a phone system for each job increased our telephone spend. Short term contracts for job telephony and network were extremely expensive. With a small team, we did not have the skills to create a complete solution.
Forrester partnered with iCore Networks to design and deploy a managed VOIP solution. In this solution, all telephony equipment is located in iCore’s secure data center. To get phone service, Team Members just need to connect their phone to a high-speed Internet connection. No configuration or connection to the main office is required. Team Members can switch locations and easily start working by logging onto the nearest phone. Forrester standardized on Cisco switches, routers and VOIP handsets, eliminating multiple vendors and simplifying our support processes.
