DSL Back-up

What It Is

DSL Back-up is a DSL circuit that provides connectivity to the Internet when normal connections are lost.

What It Does

Using a DSL circuit and modem, DSL back-up automatically steps in if an iCore-provided T1 line loses connectivity to the Internet. When the T1 line is restored, voice and data traffic will be automatically rerouted back to the T1.

Benefits

  • Maintains voice and data communications during line or equipment failure
  • Automatically routes traffic to the DSL Back-up if the primary Internet connection is lost
  • Automatically reroutes voice and data traffic back to the T1 when service is restored
  • Provides extra protection against losing voice and data communications
